rekids information overload : part two

over the last few months i have noticed a bit of a pattern that emerges with my listening requirements.

when i work from home (one week in three), i like the foundations that hold together ireallylovemusic to be rattled and shaken with guitar heavy grooves.

then when in the office, my head has no time for such ear drum based pain, meaning that my computer hours are spent checking over the various electronic releases that are in the pile.

so with that in mind, following last weeks noise infested write ups, can i state here and now, that this week i will be overdosing on the latest (and in a few cases forthcoming) releases on the wonderful rekids label.

for those that still are unaware, the rekids label is providing a constant supply of headphone pleasing, dance floor thumping electronic music that never fails to do me good things.

while the latest 3 cd set, rekids revolutions as detailed here, is obviously wanting to move beyond the epic minimal/maximal techno there are still a lot of tracks worthy of serious love and attention.

so, before the chaos of the week sets in, here are the details as to what’s on its way from the label :

rekids revolutions – 3 cd set that compiles the best of the latest period in the labels output, making life easier for those of us that cant keep up with these vinyl only releases.

rekids 037 : the clockdeepgroove and jamie anderson [incl. remix by ben klock]

rekids 038 : hot beefworst case scenario

rekids 039 : space shuffle remixestoby tobias [incl. remixes by dave ellesmere, tensnake, and james teej)

rekids 040 : my heartspencer parker [incl. remix by daniel sanchez]

there is also the cabin fever  limited 12" series (volumes 1-6 no less), but i’ll save mentioning that for another day, but, let’s just say, what with the radio slave material, the smoother sun rise ambient styled quiet village project, i find it had to believe that matt edwards has time to create yet another pseudo, but that appears to be exactly what has happened. this time recreating using the cabin fever name to immerse himself into his love for upfront, warehouse and acid house anthems that will wipe away any of the accusations of his productions all sounding the same once and for all.

glorious.

oh, and should you be interested, ireallylovemusic has a couple of logo’d badges up for grabs.

if you require one, holla, with name/address via the usual channels, and we’ll see what happens.
