last year i chanced upon the excellent one compilation that radio slave affiliated label, rekids put out.
as mentioned elsewhere, a lot of my initial interest was all about the simple but beautiful logo and consistent use of a very noticeable font across the labels artwork/website.
12 months on from my own discovery (which was of course years behind the blogsphere), and no appearance of two.
in fact, i’m still spinning those shiny cds on a regular basis along with the japanese only radio slave mixtape, the radio slave mix on the radio disco compilation, and the radio slave misch masch mix.
so, while the label has been busy with 12" releases and various remixes in 2008, what about those of us who like cds ?
other than the 2 well received artist albums by luke solomon, and toby tobias, it has been a pretty dry year.
thankfully, things are (hopefully given the status re the labels history with distribution) about to change.
early 2009 sees a massive 3 cd compilation/mix set of the labels latest and greatest making me look forward to the new year all that more.
