thought it was time to spread this one around a little.
i believe the remix was released a few weeks ago on one of those limited, collectable 7″ things that currently flood the racks of your local megabore, and so the chances are that you haven’t heard it.
which is a real shame as its probably the best thing that the noisettes have had their name attached to.
while the album was a raucous rock-n-roll affair that didn’t hang about on my playlist for that long (though i think i need to reappraise that situation !), this remix by get cape wear cape fly totally revises the backing track into a sublime laid back trip hop style that if had been released a few years back would have had the big chill crowd in sun setting rapture. the sweet heart melting vocals are perfectly matched up by the rolling soft focus loops, proving that should she ever decide to go into a new direction, that shingai has a career fronting zero 7.
