plus device – ultra seductive

this has been out for a few months on the previously mentioned hefty records, but the electro funk is still doing me good things when the time is right, and that’s not even taking into account the somewhat saucy, but very tastefully executed cover art.
ahem.
plus device are a mysterious electro collective (though i would suspect that the secret is no longer as tight as when they released the debut ep) that dip their toes into the original dark corners of chicago acid house, as well as keeping en ear on the current love for dirty analogue synths. one minute its all heavy with disconnected noir-robotic vocals, the next light and poppy. for the example mp3, it’s very clear that the studio bods have given 80s digital lover jacques lu cont a closer inspection than most. still, it’s a cracking, simple but effective track and those original cheesy handclap samples/loops are so weird to hear again in 2007.
(and no i don’t know the machine name that made these thin-n-nasty handclap sounds so dominant in 80s electro – who do you think i am ?)
