as you may have realised, the micronauts are a particular fave @ ireallylovemusic hq when the urge to have blistering electronic dance noise blasting out of the stereo kicks in.
with this in mind, the forthcoming album/remix compilation double set, (as mentioned here) has been getting a lot of love.
however, the more eagle eyed folks may have noticed one high profile remix not being included on the remix set, the micronauts remix of hollywood by the pop chameleon herself, madonna.
i suspect either a problem with clearance, or, the costs were just too high.
thankfully, the wired world can make such matters a lot easier as i believe the track is a brilliant slice of trashy digital dance music. the vocals and melody are still evident in the early part of mix, but as we approach the 2 minute 30 seconds mark, a very nice acid bleep starts throbbing away underneath giving the track a more welcome dirty electro edge, the fact that from here on, the rhythmic structure is then broken down into a cut up booty bass bouncer beast makes the remix a rather special slice of experimental electronic pop music.
