this cd-r has been mislabeled.it was sent to me as a dragonette set of remixes (of which i really wanted to hear so wasn’t too chuffed!), but became very obvious that the contents were not as supposed to be.
this meant i had absolutely no idea as to what i had actually got, especially as i thought track one was a pretty difficult blast of cut up ed banger styled electro and the rest pretty pants.
it’s only 6 months later, that i drop the cd into my computer, and gracenote does its thing, that i realise it is that godawful cheesy cockney geezer rap chap just jack.
fucking dreadful stuff i grant you, but bear with me, as the switch remix is a far distant relation to the original making it, in these enlightened times when i have tuned into this type of distressed electro, totally ear splittingly wonderful. other than a mere blip of the source vocals (love the cut up use of the word looped jack in the old fashioned acid house style a la jack music), the music is pure digital cut up electro noize that producer to the stars, switch, is currently renowned for.
no idea if this ever got an official release, so lets sod all that, and spread the funk.
