well this is a first.
a myspace discovery that i want to spread the word on.
gosh, alan mcgee would be proud.
anyways, this french lot dropped a note re foetus on my comments page and so i had a looksee, and seeing as they have given me a few chuckles today, it’s only fair i pass on the word.
the band have a humorous gothic vibe, their cartoon covers/imagery is great in that it pays respect to the old school horror comic book genre, a look that they even manage to carry through into their real world videos with some style.
so, it’s a splash of munsters makeup, a chunk of surf riffs, and a dollop of fat boy slims knack at looping some ska’d up organ samples.
its not rocket science, its no longer cool, in fact it’s gothic big beat for those that like a laugh at the moon.
bring it on i say.
