a little behind the curve on this one, but hey, better late than never.
given my ongoing journey of discovery in regards to 60s psych-soul it was a natural outcome that i would end up loving this connecticut based threesome (bass/keys – dan edinberg ; drums – tim walsh ; guitars – jeff gitelman), the stepkids, whose debut album is about to get released via stones throw.
originally tipped off a few months ago by someone who knows my needs well, i never got around to doing the research, then a recent mojo write up about the bands limited edition cut-live-to-disc release, that’s out prior to the album proper, tipped me over the edge.
the guys have been around the blocks a few times helping out all manner of live bands/studio set ups etc, but have now decided the time is right to go all out on their own, and who am i to argue with that when the results are as cool as this.
