grand mal /// guitars strum in dejection from kenny curwood on vimeo.
perfect.
just perfect.
if you like this sneaky peak into the recent world of grand mal, then can i please recommend you track down last years album, clandestine songs.
with a complete lack of hype (beyond the odd lo-fi blog here and there), grand mal quietly released a new 13 track album last year that just happens to be one of those albums.
you know the sort.
you play. you listen. you listen again and again.
and slowly you wonder how come no-one else makes music as timeless as this in 2010.
ok, i’ll be the first to admit that the sonic reference points are as obvious as always with a lot of bills (grand mal = bill whitten and any folks who are available at the time to help strum and bash various instruments) music, but when the results makes the goose bumps tingle from start to finish, then surely there must be others who, if got the chance, would fall under the spell.
or, is it that i am that far out of sync ?
