oh yes it’s that time again when yours truly decides for a few days that machine made music is hurting my ears, and needs to have something else rattling the soundsystem.
so, it is with genuine excitement that i am able to tell you about a new grand mal album.
who ?
grand mal.
you know one of the few guitar bands that ireallylovemusic just can’t resist as has been obvious for quite a while.
currently the album remains unreleased, but i would like to believe that someone somewhere with the necessary resources realises that bill whitten (ie. the bands songwriter/mainstay) is on a roll when it comes to good old fashioned 70s styled rock-n-roll (via the all important glam groove of course).
the10 tracks that make the new album, are as indicated a return to the more upfront stylings of the bands classic bad timing, so, needless to say, i’m going to be harping on about this record (well its not a record yet – but you get my point) from now until the world catches up.
i will be writing a more thorough review once i have lived with the album for a while, but in the meantime, here’s the current tracklisting
1 you should be so lucky
2 the other side
3 i’m a believer
4 rock bottom
5 think i’m falling in love
6 it don’t mean nothing
7 7 kinds of love
8 the sewer of affluence
9 head over heels
10 underground
