before the soulsavers became known for their gospel tinged noir hip hop, they released a handful of superb mixtapes that dropped in all manner of lost soul, hip hop, rock, funk gems into the playlist.
they are all buggers to find these days as word spread quickly, but i got lucky, so they still provide yours truly with a lot of joy.
anyways, a few years ago i became aware of a session that took place between rich soulsaver and unkle cohort, psychopab, via spotting some rather wonderful artwork for the proposed vinyl 12″ that was posted on the design teams website that do the design for soulsavers releases.
in fact, i think there were plans for it to have been a picture disc.
at the time of this discovery, i dug in, and checked, but the mix was never made available, in fact my research revealed that rich himself never got a copy to hand.
so, imagine my joy when a quick check up on the ever excellent unkle77 site today revealed that psychopab has dug out the masters of the mix, and made its available to one and all.
and to gold plate this news, the 2 parts are in full fat 320.
get in.
