the label of choice for those times when you need some more indie dancefloor messy digital noise, kitsune maison, come back with another killer selection.
top of the pile is easily the opening track which sees the glorious return of everyones favourite ministry of sounds sanctioned pop stars, fischerspooner, who prove that they are still raring to go, despite the shocking ignorance that met the arrival of their brilliant odyssey. the addition of a saxaphone over the top of the duos clinical layered electro is rather a worry, still i am genuinely looking forward to their next album.
the rest of the album is the expected combination of synths clashing over dance floor friendly pro-tooled jittery beats and a plentiful supply of lively guitars.
admittedly, there are times the results aren’t that special now that we all have overdosed on last years genre defining albums by such people as justice, simian mobile disco, and of course, digitalism, who are within the tracklisting albeit in a remixed form.
then again, where else are you going to hear such a fine spread of hipster pleasing tunes-n-grooves to make that party swing in all the right ways ?
