it’s been a while since i mentioned it, but kids is a great little label with some fine ideas going on.
well it was a little label until the wombats came along and took over the world.
having only heard a few of the bands early 7″ releases it was obvious if a certain weekly newspaper got on board then the band were bound to become firm faves amongst the student gig going scene propelling the band into the charts to such an extent that the album is even available in your local hmv.
now that’s success.
obviously this has helped raise the profile of the label, and made life a little easier for all involved, yet weirdly the website is still as gloriously basic as ever.
anyways, to celebrate heres a disco’d up version of one of the earlier singles, moving to new york, remixed by the touch. while not being anything too original, it is a lovely slice of electro-indie-disco excellence.
