flykkiller and guests – the seven stitches mixtape

still top of the ireallylovemusic playlist is the electronic dark pop by flykkiller. (as per reviewed/interviewed etc : here).
having tracked down the hard to find david holmes  garage rock-n-roll infested remix of album highlight fear, i am again finding it hard to jump out of the dark-n-mysterious groove that stephen hilton and pati yang have created.
anyway, a little digging has revealed that the band released an influences type of mixtape, seven stitches, throwing all manner of post punk nastiness into the mix. while it’s not on a par with such great mixes as come and get it, i think the track selection gives a great insight into the mindset of the people involved.
so give it up for gary numan, the fall, the cramps, along with a lot i have no idea about, all thrown into the blender with a few flykkiller originals.
