sohodolls – right and right again

ages ago i played the sohodolls debut single, stripper, a few times, which with its blast of marilyn manson electro and dirty glam i believed that would be the last i ever heard from the band as no-one else was going to be as impressed as me.
ha.
proves how little i know as the band have now gone all major and have a full album on its way, ribbed music for a numb generation, so this cracking single with some hipster remixes is to be released to get the message spread far and wide as possible.
continuing to prove that there is still a demand for goldfrapp styled industrial sized beats and old school electropop, the band are like some evil offspring of dragonette, scissor sisters and now banned to the archives, the modern all wrapped up into a perfectly genetically enhanced formed pop group.
being honest, i am not sure the band logo will do them favours, and the cover art is totally unrepresentative of the gloriously delicious contents, but hey, perhaps that’s all part of the plan.
subvert and chaos.
with a cracking sparkling minimal electro remix by man of the moment, jesse rose, then this will no doubt have the blogsphere in meltdown, some would say deservedly so, and the single is rounded off by a crystal castles remix of album track, trash the rental taking the visage styled synth action to the logical conclusion of dancefloor excess.
good stuff.
to give an idication as to the band, here’s the twitchy electro’d up punx soundcheck ‘naked’ remix of the bands debut single, stripper.
