liking the look of this one so far i must say.
the fact that the location is practically on my doorstep means of course the temptation is even greater.
anyway, here’s the latest news on the line up thats due to hit the boards between the 10th and 12th of august, 2007.
this year bloom festival has pulled off a coup with an exciting special guest performance from ingrid eto the sister project from sam and henry and the zero 7 band; an instrumental performance featuring some zero 7 tracks and brand new material.
each year hundreds of festivals in the uk shuffle for a top act that will excite the crowds and win new fans, something which results in many summer events having a similar line up, so this year bloom decided to do something new and innovative.
we decided at an early stage that we wanted to include a top act that was unusual or that was not touring all the summer festivals. last year we had 808 state live and it was really refreshing to have an act that was not doing the rounds. this year when we heard zero 7 had a new project on the roll we knew that they would be perfect explain festival organisers, franc and olivia.
ingrid eto (zero 7 instrumental project) has been described as zero 7’s little sister. it is a project that involves a mix of electronic and live instruments performed by the zero 7 band. taking some of the instrumental aspects of the zero 7 show as a starting point and heading out into the night in search of the heat!
the band are excited about their bloom festival show case we’re really looking forward to bringing our new project to bloom this summer, we’ve heard lots of good things about the festival and feel it will be the perfect setting to air our new and alternative, instrumental live set.
other artists performing include :
