the horrors – she is the new thing
a while ago i wrote about the horrors album and the fact i love their whole look and sound.
so it’s great to see that people are giving the band time and attention.
so much so that the new single, she is the new thing, has been given a great animated video that matches the whole vibe of the band.
dark-n-nasty, and somewhat perfect.

aqualung – cinderella
in a completely different world, apparently aqualung are still getting records released.
the forthcoming new single, cinderella, lifted from the album, memory man, is more of the delicate moods that the band are known for, with more of that minimal but somehow epic production.

charlie sloth – you can’t forget about (uk bonus version)
and this one is for me, and me only. charlie sloth (no – i have no idea!), has dropped this onto youtube, and its great. basically its a list of all the original uk hip hop stars that set the wheels in motion for the current scene. as the video progresses, (all 8 minutes of it – and this is just the first part), actual old school stars pop up and drop some rhymes over the easy loop.
its a genuine chill up the spine moment for those of us that have long term memory issues.
