soulsavers – don’t believe (all of) the hype

this morning a little surfing revealed a cracking article in the esteemed newspaper, the times.
the article was all about how the new soulsavers album was recorded with each member involved at a worldly distance, thus giving credence to the world of modern recording techniques.

thing is, it’s not true.
at all.
oh no it isn’t.
for the record, and to make sure i get this right, here’s a direct quote from band member rich :
“contrary to reports in some parts, the sessions were recorded in more traditional methods, lanegan & machin were in the same studio for all the vocal sessions”
