folks.
as you probably know there are a million and one guitar based bands out there currently trying to get your attention. from this quagmire few actually make any such an impact to any real degree, and due to my chosen lifestyle of parenthood i no longer am able to keep up with the cutting edge live scene and so rarely spot a name early on. however, a few emails, and a little digging reveals that the alpena band (4 hours out of detroit, factfans), mason proper, could indeed be an american band that gets some love from such people as mtv, and possibly even the all important nme when the debut album, there is a moth in your chest, gets released on indie label dovecote records.
i usually have no idea about these things, but the buffed up new versions of tracks off the album, are sounding pretty damn fine, especially the off the wall of chaos bonkers single, my my (bad fruit).
