dig around the history of ireallylovemusic and you will find some favourable words re the band known as archive.
while they are now on a big epic rock adventure that’s doing well over on mainland europe (yet still not getting any of their recent releases sorted for the uk), they were originally part of the much reviled trip-hop movement.
however, as much as the band now may try and rewrite their own personal history, the bands debut, londinium, was indeed all moody and downtempo with some dated hip hop extras amongst the love for pink floyd styled classic rock ambience.
so, now that there are a few whispers that perhaps the music can be relistened to without total shame, i was fortunate enough to be recently given this rare remix of the albums lead track by leaders of the shoegazing scene, my bloody valentine, so expect lots of that swirling guitar sound that kevin shields virtually invented back in the day strapped to hip hop beats.
a little time stamped admittedly, but still worthy of some disc space.
