ireallylovemusic vs eclectic avenue : session #2

once i had broken the seal, and got offered one of the later 45 minute slots, i decided to do a full set of 70s disco-n-funk.
i spent the week in the build up to the evening digging around for stuff and had my set all locked down.
then as i sat there on the evening, one of the crew that was on before me played 2 of my choices.
a mad dash to the laptop and a quick rearrange meant i had no option but to go random.
also, it was a very quiet evening, and one of the crew said to me when he noticed i was having to chop-n-change, ‘just go for it’.
so i did.

theme from man in a suitcase
vince guaraldi – linus and lucy
kc & the sunshine band – boogie shoes
the o’jays – love train
hifi sean ft. – testify (ft. crystal waters)
ike & tina turner – proud mary (hifi sean bootleg)
the soup dragons feat. junior reid – i’m free
prince fatty – insane in the brain ft. horseman
the nextmen feat. dynamite mc – blood fire
the beatmasters feat. jum jum – ska train
ac/dc vs queen – rock in black
madonna vs sex pistols – ray of gob (original version)

a quick side note : i live in small cotswold town, and the venue is a very nice old coutryside inn, so i am not going to go full on into the outer regions of the archive, after all, i would like people to enjoy their evenings out, so, my choices are always within the boundaries of the venue/locale etc.
