track listing : black chamber order, bass mantra
having gone deep into the world of ambient drones under the dadavisitic orchestra project, the black dog now have a need to get back to the dance floor, and this limited 12″ release (the first part of a trilogy) on their own dust science label is a serious statement of intent.
lead track black chamber order is a 7 minute simple, stripped back, but totally essential slice of minimal techno. a basic 808 sequencer based throb, a simple but very effective atmospheric melodic motif, and a boom bass that’s going to sound amazing on the right kind of sound systems.
flip the 12″ and the excellence continues. very similar in style, bass mantra, is another dance floor aimed epic that doesn’t let up throughout the 6 bleep infested sheffield via chicago minutes.
in summary, both tracks are pure dark room plus strobe perfection.
if only i were allowed into such rooms.
