apologies for the ongoing chaos, but in the background the blog is now a very different beast.
after years of leaving everything as it was in recent times i have felt obliged to upgrade the underlying wordpress software.
and as is the way, then the fun started.
emails were exchanged. the skills of the hosting gang was called upon, and slowly but surely, the jigsaw was put back together.
so far things are looking to have settled down, other than one important aspect.
it seems that the plugin that used to work has decided to throw a tantrum, despite the fact its the latest version and tests run fine.
having worked with computers for years, i suspect its a simple tweak and to be honest, i’ll probably just post manually as opposed to via email, but there are times sending an email is just the easiest option.
hey ho.
what about music ?
well, there have been 2 new albums that have provided a welcome respite from lifes troubles.
one is the previously mentioned blockhead album, the music scene, and the other, the new album by the finnish collective, husky rescue, ship of light.
while blockhead has focused his love of hip hop beats and looped samples, husky rescue have headed for the chilled but interesting electronically enhanced pop music.
the songs are tight, melodic, and full of fascinating sonic twists and turns (screaming guitar line in the throbbed up fast lane being of particular note).
pop over to the bands official site, provide an email, and lo, a lovely example of their current laid back groove is provided.
you will notice that both albums are for the more mellow moments in your day, but despite this, they are highly recommended.
