dadahack – hello

dadahack = james banbury + pete davis.

james banbury plays cello, and knows a bit about technology.

pete davis has remixed a few sarah nixey records.

so, after some virtual buddying up, the two finally decided to make beautiful music together and use the name dadahack.

they set up a myspace page, and it is/was good.

hello is the first officially available fruits of their labour and, despite only being available from itunes, it is good.

very very good.

old school rave bleeps, euphoric hands in the air synths, vocal samples, and a disco beat for headphoners.

i have listened to this 4 times in a row today, and it still makes me happy.

the extra keyboard line @ 3 minutes lifts the track up up and away into the ‘oh yes’ league, before kicking back to the bleep melody.

remixes by some rather wonderful people are to be released in a few weeks time (details as and when), but in the meantime, just listen to the myspace stream, and rejoice in the glory that is sunshine happy electronic disco excellence.
