so, is it me or has the blog gone into self imposed exile ?
well, as i’m sure you all want to know, of course it hasn’t.
it’s just that my head seems to have become a little worn down with pounding electro/techno etc, and being still unable to connect with what passes as indie in 2008, means that there is currently little to report upon.
so much so, that this week i have decided to try and recharge the inner batteries.
this means taking things a little bit more relaxed, possibly too relaxed, given that this has meant a rediscovered bill laswell and my long lost 20 plus axiom cd collection.
oh yes, it’s the return of the chilled out bass heavy grooves of prog-dub-funk-tabla-ambient excess that is material, tabla beat science, axiom funk, axiom dub etc etc.
normally, bill laswells production style comes across as a cold and clinical (and surely he has had some influence on the dubstep genre ?), but for whatever reason, when the urge hits, it hits hard, like today.
so please wait while i find my new music funk again.
i’m sure it wont be too long before i return from the wilderness, if i can find my way that is.
