so just how does a band in 2008 make sure people are aware that they have a new record about to hit the record shops ?
a head scratching nightmare inducing quandary for many a hard working, live dance-rock gigging band i’m sure.
album streams, facebook groups, mobile ringtones, stickers, the world is full of all sorts of tricks and ways for bands to reach out to their all important sales opportunities. so for the second single, free things for poor people, from their forthcoming album, universe in reverse, the ever resourceful infadels have come up with a cunning plan : help people in london avoid the hassles of public transport and make their day a little better.
basically, on tuesday 17th june 2008, the band are to have a bus (a routemaster if that means anything to you) alleviate your stresses.
well, of course this is only if you live in london, and happen to be in the need of getting from one end of oxford circus to the other during the hours of 12 till 5pm.
naturally, there is a catch.
during this time, the band will probably try and make you buy their radio friendly single and sign up to their fit to burst mailing list.
no scratch that, i’ve just re-read the press statement.
they’ll probably give you a copy of the single for free, after all this is being tagged as free things for poor people day, so jump on board and have some freebie filled fun, all courtesy of the infadels.
