while a lot of my current playlist involves music made by machines, i can’t help but love a chunk-o-funk in old school 60s soul revue style from time to time.
so given that the brilliant sharon jones and the dap kings are touring the united kingdom, i really think anyone who can, should see this band.
while amy has taken all the commercial glory for the current 60s soul revival, there’s no denying that the real power in the grooves was down to the presence of the dap kings, so you just know that these shows are going to be fantastic.
