what a great way to start the new year.
an email just arrived pointing me in the direction of a free ep, numbers, by cyan341.
with a name like that you just know the music has to be detroit styled techno don’t you.
thankfully the music definitely lives up to the monikers promise.
clean, melodic, and dare i say it, minimal, with intricately placed touches that make the spacious crystalline production all rather special.
something seems to point to the fact that the person behind this set of synthetic beauty is connected to the rednetic label, i once received a couple of fine techno eps from rednetic and totally fell under their spell, so it’s great to see that the groove continues as the four tracks ( called 5, 6, 7 and 8 of course !) contained within the high quality download are excellent, and therefore highly recommended to soundtrack any extended session in front of a computer.
