back in 2005 i was fortunate to receive the excellent melnyk album, silence. the combination of fat analogue synths, cinematic ambience, and a generous dose of scandanavian drama (ie. the vocals by the boss of gaymonkey records, sara berg, whose album i am currently coming to terms with) really pushed my groove back into loving the re-emerging electro scene, as per the unformatted review : here.
so, ireallylovemusic is chuffed to pass on news of a rather fine team up.
basically, faves of the site, temposhark, have taken the rich and moody album track, me and my muse, and given it a shiny dancefloor makeover, and added some extra vocals.
the track is part of a remix package that is available via itunes, silence remixed.
however, as a treat, i’m letting you thieving urchins have a slice of this excellence just so i can tell you a few related pieces of news.
– the long awaited temposhark album, the invisible line, is out early march 2008 via the bands own label.
– melnyk is currently crafting the follow up to silence.
– sara berg’s album, when i was a young child i used to feel pleasure from playing with others, is out now on gaymonkey records.
