‘lalula present supa banjo’ is a mad track, and one that at first really got on my nerves, but after a little more exposure, i fell under it’s unique spell of freaky fem-vox and electro jump start twitching beats.
in case you weren’t aware, the track is currently being featured on that very fancy barcardi advert which has high definition liquid bodies dancing.
subsequently, the folks involved have decided to press up the track on 2 slabs of dj friendly 7″ vinyl via the newly created elixir records.
thing is, to make matters a little more interesting, in order to hear the original version, the dj has to play both records at the same time, as it’s only when the 2 a-sides are sync’d up correctly do the results make the track.
genius and mad.
as well as the a-sides, there are superb remixes by emperor machine, and south central, both of whom have been dropped onto the ireallylovemusic blog before, so i’ve decided to go for the south central as this adds a solid rock vibe to the party, which i can only imagine how great this would be on a sweaty saturday night with the disco ball giving its all.
more detail : none !
ps. somewhere in the chaos, i suspect that freelance hellraiser is involved. ahem.
