well today is all about the spinning vinyl and all it’s various limited coloured forms.
this time the delicate record has been pressed up in a summery dayglo yellow colour by serviceav, having licenced the song from crammed, and given it some space while the sun shone today, i suspect the reason is, because this tom waits cover version is bloody gorgeous.
so gorgeous in fact, that to supplement the summery harp lead track, serviceav boss bloke, james banbury, under his ghost of infantjoy pseudo, has touched up the original adding some deft speaker wobbling electronica undercurrents to make this one for the late night downtempo people.
the results are outstanding.
let’s just hope that cibelle agrees, and the two work together again as one track is simply not enough.
