the wire is alive with the fact that kylie has picked him up to produce her forthcoming album (or just one track according to other reputable areas of the internet).
so lets all pretend we all knew about this homage to all things tacky and 80s before the rest pick up on it shall we.
personally i love the production and the groove, but damn, i would much prefer this with kylies vocals, and those headphones are just too nasty for words.
you aint no thomas dolby calvin, sorry.
there i said it.
still, if calvin were to offer me hugs (having been born well before the 80s the chances are very slim), then i may have to re-evaluate my opinion.
