ringo deathstarr – some kind of sad

lets just check that name again : ringo deathstarr how great a name is that.
i have always believed that half the battle of a world conquering pop band is coming up with a name that makes you and your proposed audience, just go yes.
revolting cocks, pop will eat itself, gaye bykers on acid these are great names for noisey pop bands, the kooks, the maccabees, the view are not, these show a complete lack of originality and just plumped for something that would do and not upset radio playlist compilers.
however, giving credit where its due i didn’t find this slice of white noise perfection, the glorious folks behind the relaunched/revitalised svc records did.
while the sonic connections to the early days of jesus and the marychain in the primal drums, cant be arsed singing, simplistic bass line and layers of feedback there’s no denying that the song is just a fantastic way to clean out the post weekend blues.
apparently this texan four piece are recording an album.
bring it on.
