clor – magic touch (joakim remix)

as i have said before, i loved clor. they broke up far too early, and so far nothing has been heard of them since.
the inconsiderate sods.
anyway, seeing as no-one at all has downloaded the foetus related mp3 track i guess its more of that electro nonsense that people are wanting. so i dug into the archive and found this rather fantastic nugget that i think was only available as a promo 12″.
the excellent disjointed electro-rock of clor is mutated into new forms by tiger suishi label boss joakim, who is constantly being namechecked and part of the ever thriving minimal electro scene.
so i guess it’s only fair that i allow this rather wonderful collaboration out onto the wire for all to hear.
while not exactly a dancefloor filler, joakim does however manage to focus on bands love of broken processed rhythms and crafted melody while applying his trademarked love for technology noise.
i mean who can resist the big fat devo-esque guitar chord at 3 minutes which is then followed by all manner of cut-up madness.
no-one in 2006 spun me around quite like clor did in 2005.
anyway, less chat, more fucked up electro pop please.
