debut single that was released a few weeks ago so keep an eye out as this is a cracker and so should be snapped up upon sighting.
as followers of the blog may have noticed, i normally like the stuff that the memphis industries people get out on the shelves, the jacob brothers have an ear for quality pop music which thrills senses that other labels rarely reach, as well as giving exposure to the more interesting of left field pop music characters out there. of course we drift apart from time to time, especially when the sonic references involve the sodding beach boys once again. however, this new lot are very much more in line with my current love for dirty synths, old school thumping bass lines, and sharp searing guitar lead melodies that are too damn hook filled for its all too short-n-sharp 2 minutes. so when the song hits the road running with its shouted ‘go!’ exclamation of obvious intent and means business i cannot help but hope that this band are going to attain the same level of success as label mates go team and the pipettes.
oh, and just in case you missed this release, there is to be a mini-lp out in feburary 2007, you’ve had your cautioning, now use it wisely.
