the janurary sales have come early

don’t know about your towns, but in the last 3 years i have worked in bristol, i have seen 5 independant record shops shut down.
5 !
subsequently, my lunch hours are spent browsing the racks of the normal record shops with little hope of finding anything interesting.
with this in mind, it has become obvious that dealing direct with the better of the labels out there is a necessity in this new world we live in, you get the records, they get a bigger cut of your money with a lot less hassle for all involved.
so, perhaps its not that strange that today i get 2 missives from 2 of ireallylovemusic faves advising of their online sales.
the brilliant melodic label (wait till you hear the new stuff from l pierre), and the slightly more noise filled releases on the glorious wrath records have slashed prices of selected back catalogue releases making it impossible for the more discerning of you to resist, surely i don’t have to give some pointers ?
ahem – pedro and the scaramanaga six for the hard of hearing, and if you need to know more, then dig around a lo-tech review webshite not too far away from here.
more detail :
wrath records : here
melodic : here
note : this has been a cash free, unpaid advert from the folks @ ireallylovemusic. it’s cos we care.
stay tuned.
