as you may, or may not, know, the freelance hellraiser released a proper artist album earlier this year, the gorgeous waiting for clearance : review : interview
while i loved the back-to-basics song craft and mix of dance moods, i suspect that the album didn’t really get the masses into action quite as expected when it was trialed in the live arena.
so, perhaps understandably so, the man behind the buttons has re-established his need to get the dirty groove to the fore of his current dj sets.
with this in mind, here is his revised version of ll cool js classic mama said knock you out.
the track was originally made for a boxing promotion event, and to date has been left unreleased.
that is until now. how lucky are you?
word is that the freelance hellraiser, oh ok, roy, has an idea to revisit several of these hip hop classics and refix them into a sleaze filled dancefloor monster.
