as my history teacher always used to say, “always trust a man who drinks white wine straight from the bottle”.
or something like that.
anyway, after a weird few days during which i have obsessed over old wiseblood records, redisovered some hidden gems @ ireallylovemusic about akira the don (second album due early next year by all accounts), i settled down and hit play on a random mp3 on the desktop.
and lo, 6 minutes of brilliant electronic pop burst forth from the speakers. sublime, late night, deep and very wonderful on the ears.
then the fun started.
the mp3 wasn’t tagged.
no names, nothing hidden in the properties of the file, all i had was that its titled : ‘fasc-at-night’.
thankfully google came to the rescue (again), and reminded me that the track is actually a legal (phew !!) freebie from the new buzzin’ fly crew, flowers and sea creatures.
there is a new ep on its way later this month, test pressing ep, but to entice you the label are throwing this slice of electronic pop perfection out on the wire for all to enjoy.
highly recommended.
right, now what else is hidden away in various corners of my computer that i need to dust down ?
