new material from outputmessage that underlines the reason for why i loved his debut album so much.
i have listened to this track 5 times today (actually by the time i post this probably a few more than that), and it still makes me smile and dance like a 5 year old on a rediscovered batch of original blue smarties.
something about the shriekback styled slap bass, and simplistic piano chords all just blend perfectly, whoever autorock is, he has done an excellent job on this track.
warm fat bass lines and euphoric dance pop of the highest order.
while the debut album, nebulae, was predominantly in the area of pure techno [reviewed : here], it’s clear that bernard has a passion to make uplifting, dance floor friendly pop music.
should the results all be as good as this, then i’m good to go with the plan.
no longer releasing music via the melodic label, outputmessage has set up a new label, output noise records, which from the blog currently seems to be a digital only affair.
let’s just hope that the wires start rattling making them want to press this stuff up ‘properly’.
to listen to the proper version there is a bandcamp site set up.
i suggest the city rain remix is the other one to check, or indeed all of them.
highly recommended.
