basically, jazz trumpeter harry beckett has worked many times over the years with adrian sherwood, but this album is the first full length from this unusual pairing.
according to some research (ie. reading the sleevenotes !), adrian laid down some new/revised on-u sound rhythm tracks and harry came in and improv’d over the top.
simple as that.
as you’d expect, i think the results are very special, making this release the main action for the recent return of on-u sound in 2008, which also includes the new lee "scratch" perry album, the mighty upsetter, and adrians mixing of samiah farah album, the many moods of ..
not to mention that this album is housed in the classiest sleeve that on-u sound have ever done.
