the infidels - 3 track demo.
1. meddling with my brain/tunnel vision
2. a strangely circular journey
3. call it 69.
these very raw sounding demos indicate a band who have listened to a lot of decent music over the years.
pooling the visceral guitars of brmc and early oasis they strap on the layers and let them go. these embryonic songs have grown on me despite the vocals needing some extra attention to detail.
i was advised that the tracks were basically recorded straight in the studio with little tinkering and so are effectively an indication of the bands live sound.
i feel that in a live setting with full pa sound system this would clear out any mental cobwebs and could indeed strip paintwork. the studio based stuff is rumoured (by band members !) to be akin to the sonic experiments of my bloody valentine. makes a nice change to hear these bands getting namechecked as opposed to the stooges ..
excellent.
now for something a bit different ..
we know little about this new noisy lot .. lets see if they can pass a few simple easy questions so we can learn a little bit more.
the same questions were put to each band member.
lets play spot the rock star..
i'm not going to comment or edit the replies
band members can speak for themselves and dont need editorial manipulation from myself
jimmy mulvihill - guitars/piano/producer/tea-maker
eksteen - lead guitars/singer.
