poster children - tools of the man, junior citizen
the first lp is actually released on creation, this is very late-80's/early 90's indie rock. not bad, not brilliant but somewhere inbetween. the credits thank the wedding present/swervedriver and i think that describes where the band come from. the second lp was released on major with a lot of promotion, and is a far better package. the tracks are more snappy and new wave, with a couple of classic power punk pop tracks - in the vein of early devo. the band then never seemed to go anywhere - last i saw/read was that they had virtually developed into an internet only band. where they established themselves on the net. several members are now doubled up in several post-rock groups but i've no idea about these.
