the lemon trees - open book
the background of this is quite interesting. the main man (guy chambers) was part of world party and then formed this studio band. released one failed album and disappeared - only to reappear as the main lynchpin in robbie williams world domination plans. having said that this is great pop album. the songs are predominantly guitar pop songs with lots of 60's sounding effects. this was released in the hey day of baggy and so there are a couple of concessions to the fashion of the day - but this is not a negative to this listener. a good solid great sounding pop disc.
