inme - overgrown eden
new brit rock hopefuls. along with feeder, a, muse, cooper temple, etc this lot have been heralded as a new hope for brits with guitars. as i was not swayed completely by the first grunge movement i have to admit that this doesn't move me much either. i'm sure within its genre this is quality stuff, the guitars are powerful and full, the songs are impressive but for me i find the vocals just too close a hybrid of kurt cobain and eddy vedder. and in places can become a little tiresome. but good luck to the band as this is a great equivalent to the plethora of boy bands that all male teens seem to want to become part of.
one other point. the cover is by far one of the worst covers i have seen in a long time. quite amazing a major label would let something like this come out of the art dept.
shame.
still, one to watch maybe once the band mature and develop into their own style as opposed to rehashing past glories.
