6 tracks, and before its even hit the player you just know where this is going . with a judgement being made on the back cover band shot - typical clean boy indie look, in an alleyway - its bound to be coldplay type of stuff, and you know what - the opening track 'numb' is exactly that.
ok, the sonics are a lot meatier and roughed up, but there are the ever present climatic melodic build ups that reaches up for the sky and lifts the listeners emotions. not a big fan of the overly drawn out epic-ness of coldplay i have to say that i really enjoyed this. its not overly original, and will appeal to fans of the noisier parts of starsailor, turin brakes, david gray.
the other songs continue in the same ilk, pianos are featured a lot, and moods mellow after the thrusting moods of the opener, but the presence of certain bands mentioned above dominates and distracts as i have been over saturated with heartfelt indie rock. still a negative opinion from me never did chris and the boys any harm now did it ? so i guess that means you can expect to hear a lot more from these fibbers.
