renaissance - dave seaman - the masters series - vol 7
summary : gorgeous packaging and lots of pretty damn fine electro-techno house music over 2 hours.
for this mix, dave seaman returns to the renaissance fold to give the dance mix genre a kick up the proverbial. the flow is kept in line as tracks that i have absolutely no idea about keep the blood pumped and the smile wide, even without knowledge on who is behind these tracks it's damn good stuff. to the degree that this almost makes me wish i was still a regular club go-er, and there aint many mixes that have that effect on me.
throughout the 2 cds, various moods and textures are brought to the fore so your emotions are manipulated and caressed accordingly, so, one minute the groove is all laid back and chilled, 'chab's sunrise, next it's a full on acid stomper, and before you know it, your hands are in the air for a masterful slice of euphoric house. of course the majority is steady 4 to the floor house music that could be made via various preset buttons/computer programs, but the way that dave ('legendary progressive house dj' dontcha know) blends and controls the flow means that the mix rarely dips below the radar.
