well, after a few weeks of a slow meandering flow, all of a sudden the funk is on the up @ ireallylovemusic<\/u> hq.<\/p>\n
following yesterdays love session for the black ghost<\/strong> mixtape (which has subsequently made me revisit and enjoy the albums by digitalism<\/strong>, justice<\/strong>, and of course, simian mobile disco<\/strong>), i got lucky today when the diplo<\/strong> remix of recent single, repetition<\/font>, appeared like some form of skull and crossbone’d up magick in my website inbox.<\/p>\n now, i know little of the track, but discogs<\/a> seems to indicate that the falsetto vocals are actually by damon albarn, <\/strong>though no reference is made to this particular version.<\/p>\n the remix is a chunk of lo-tech twisted minimal electro-funk with vocals being cut to the mood enhancing synthetics.<\/p>\n two minutes in and the track builds up in a strange warped manner, making the results sound like some lost super_collider<\/strong> classic which has been recorded on a sunburned cassette.<\/p>\n enjoy.<\/p>\n mp3<\/u> : the black ghost – repetition (diplo remix)<\/a><\/p>\n
