today is my last day in front of the computer for quite a while so enjoy the silence.

anyway, before i sign off, i have news on one of the few guitar based bands that still manage to send shivers up my spine.

you may recall my constant harping on about the brilliance of grand mals last proper album, love is the best con in town, well due to absolute apathy that the album was subjected to, i never really had hopes for the band mainstay/songwriter, bill whitten, to knuckle down and get back on the rock-n-roll train.

but, it appears he’s done just that, as the all important myspace hangout has 3 new tracks and there is word reaching me about a new album thats completed.

oh, and to make matters even more joyous, it seems that after the downbeat moods of the last album, bill has dug in deep and rediscovered his groove.

now i realise i’m probably alone in this, but i’m thrilled to bits to hear this, especially as the new songs sound like classic bad timing era grand mal, a genuine lost classic.

therefore i’m very keen to hear the complete article as opposed to some crappy myspace streams.

however until that day arrives, check out the bye-space corner and lap it up.

more detail : here – – interview – – review
