yell&#038;ice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>       <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">with the last album, <EM>for hero:for fool <\/EM>not  yet gathering dust on the shelf, the anticon collective have sorted out more of  their unique brand of&nbsp;<EM>is it rock, is it hip hop <\/EM>weirdness for you  all to love.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">9 tracks long, the mini album consists  of&nbsp;collaborations with all manner of leftfield heros including :  <\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>tv on the radio  &#8211;&nbsp;<\/STRONG><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>the notwist &#8211;  <\/STRONG><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>clouddead &#8211;  <\/STRONG><\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><STRONG>wolf  parade<\/STRONG><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">according to the&nbsp;press  release,&nbsp;<EM>yell&amp;ice<\/EM> is a remix album (in the same way that  <EM>wishingbone <\/EM>was !) that revisits the last album, but it has to be said,  the connection is rarely noticeable with each track taking a new direction in  sonic exploration, these are not hipster electro remixes thats for  certain.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">as always with <STRONG>subtle <\/STRONG>the results  take a few listens to fully digest, as there are often self created barriers in  the way to prevent mass acceptance, whether in the form of the nasal vocals, the  disregard for straightforward song structures, and the refusal to make familiar  genre specific music. <\/FONT><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">what all this does mean  however, is that the free form&nbsp;collective cease to impress urging the  listener to keep pressing that <EM>play<\/EM> button.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">the unsettling harmonies, the disjointed beats, the  use of unusual instrumentation and cutting edge production tricks makes the  music intriguing, at times uncomfortable, but always original.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\">so, in that regards, <EM>yell&amp;ice <\/EM>fulfils  its promise perfectly.<\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><U>tracklisting<\/U> : <EM>falling, middleclass  haunt, deathful, islandmind, thepit within pits, cut yell, not, sinking pinks,  requiem for a dive<\/EM><\/FONT><\/DIV> <DIV><FONT face=\"Arial\" size=\"2\"><EM>more detail : <\/EM><A href=\"http:\/\/www.subtle6.com\">here<\/A> &#8211;
