years before i discovered the joys of alternative music via john peel and the world of cabaret voltaire<\/STRONG>, shriekback<\/STRONG>, foetus<\/STRONG> and on-u sound<\/STRONG>, there was madness<\/STRONG>.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
their classic my girl <\/EM>7″ was given to me on my 11 birthday, thus sparking off a very very long relationship.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
littered around the archives are various picture discs, 12″, cassette singles, and now of course, the glorious remastered boxed editions of the albums.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
madness<\/STRONG> were a pop band that i grew up with, and so old habits die hard.<\/FONT><\/DIV>
especially when the bands last proper album wonderful, <\/EM>was indeed just that.<\/FONT><\/DIV><\/DIV>
so, despite the fact that it feels like every few years the band regroup and give the crimbo festivities a right seeing to<\/FONT>, i am still chuffed to bits to announce that this year the tradition continues.<\/FONT><\/DIV>

oh, and even better, is the news that the full line up of the magnificent 7 are finishing off a new album, working title : lucky7<\/EM><\/FONT><\/P>

oh yes, the full line up, and as any fan knows, that’s when the real magic happens.<\/P> <\/FONT><\/DIV>
